Beginning in January 2024, the Mean Assay Value (MAV) will no longer be printed on the product label.
The MAV will still be provided on the Certificate of Analysis of each product, which can be found on the Microbiologics website. The Mean Assay Value (MAV) stated on the Certificate of Analysis may deviate from the end-user’s MAV based on variables inherent to each laboratory environment, such as methods, media type, equipment, and individual technician technique.
While the number of replicates is up to each laboratory to determine, Microbiologics recommends testing in duplicate at minimum and averaging the results to find internal MAV. Listed below are the products affected by this change.
Affected products include: Epower™, Epower CRM™, EZ-Accu Shot™, EZ-Accu Shot Starved Cells™, EZ-Accu Shot Select™, EZ-CFU™, EZ-CFU One Step™, Custom Environmental Isolate Controls, and EZ-PEC™. Microbiologics is dedicated to the success of your quality control processes.
